FACTORY-DIRECT OEM / ODM MANUFACTURING
Custom Metal Products for Brand Promotions and Campaigns
Gairun is an OEM/ODM metal products manufacturer that supplies custom pins, badges, keychains, bottle openers and small metal gifts for brand promotions. We work with brand managers, creative agencies and campaign teams planning launches, customer promotions, branded events and merchandise kits.
The right product depends on more than the logo. Its function, artwork style, distribution setting and packaging all affect the final format. Send us your campaign purpose, artwork, quantity, specifications, packaging needs and destination so our team can review the project as one coordinated brief.

Match the Merchandise Format to Its Campaign Role
Start with the job the merchandise must perform. A wearable pin creates visible brand identity. A keychain keeps the brand attached to an item used or carried often. A bottle opener combines branding with a clear function. A leather-metal accessory can support a mixed-material presentation.
| Product format | Campaign role | Artwork consideration | Typical distribution fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pin or badge | Wearable brand identity | Logo shape, color separation and small details | Staff kits, attendee handouts and membership promotions |
| Metal keychain | Portable logo merchandise | Shape, branding area and attachment point | Campaign kits, counter handouts and customer gifts |
| Bottle opener | Functional promotional gift | Brand layout, opener edge and handling | Beverage campaigns, hospitality promotions and event packs |
| Leather-metal keychain | Mixed-material branded accessory | Coordination of the metal emblem, leather section and hardware | Individual gifts and packaged campaign sets |
The distribution moment matters. A simple handout must be easy to carry and separate. An individually presented customer gift may need packaging that supports the visual value of the item. Select the product role first, then refine its construction and finish.
Use Pins and Badges for Wearable Brand Visibility
Branded pins and badges work well when people are expected to wear, collect or display the campaign item. They can identify event staff, support a community initiative, mark participation in a brand program or give members a shared visual symbol.
The artwork guides the production route. Soft enamel creates recessed color areas divided by raised metal borders. Imitation hard enamel provides a smoother colored face. Die-struck construction suits designs led by metal lines and recessed areas, while die-casting can support formed shapes and relief. Screen printing and UV printing are available when graphic details do not translate well into separate enamel areas.
Review the complete range of custom lapel pins and badges when you need a closer comparison of these construction methods. The product choice should reflect the logo structure, intended surface character and way the pin will be presented.
Choose Keychains or Bottle Openers for Practical Use
A custom metal keychain is a direct choice for logo-led campaign merchandise. The outline can follow a symbol, character, product shape or other brand element. The design review must also account for the attachment point and the relationship between the metal body and keyring hardware.
A bottle opener makes sense when practical use is part of the campaign idea. The branding area and functional opener edge need to work within the same object. Openings, clearances, connection points and the way the item is held must be considered with the artwork rather than added after the visual design is finished.
Leather-metal keychains provide another route when an all-metal item does not match the intended presentation. Their design requires coordination between the leather section, custom metal emblem and connecting hardware.
Compare custom keychains and bottle openers before selecting an accessory format. Decide where the item will be used, how it will be carried and how much of its surface must communicate the brand.
Adapt Campaign Artwork for Enamel, Relief or Printing
A strong screen design is not always ready for formed metal. Each decoration route handles color, depth and fine graphic information differently.
Our 2D and 3D design team can work from vector artwork, PDFs or hand-drawn concepts. We can provide a free artwork proof within 24 hours before mold production. The proof gives the campaign team a defined visual for review before tooling begins.
For file requirements and proof responsibilities, see our artwork design and proofing service.
01
Soft enamel
Suitable for bold, separated color areas when a recessed color surface fits the design.
02
Imitation hard enamel
Suitable when the campaign calls for a smoother enamel appearance.
03
Metal relief
Useful for sculpted, dimensional or layered artwork that depends on raised and recessed surfaces.
04
Screen or UV printing
Useful for graphic details that cannot be divided cleanly by raised metal borders.
05
Clear epoxy coating
Available as a transparent layer over decorated surfaces when that presentation is selected.
Set the Metal Structure and Finish Direction
Material and forming choices affect the structure and appearance of promotional metal gifts. Gairun processes zinc alloy, brass, iron, stainless steel and aluminum. Available forming routes include die-casting, stamping, photo etching and hydraulic high relief.
The project team can also review gold, silver, nickel, black nickel, antique bronze and antique silver plating. Dual plating can place two metal tones within one design. Sandblasting and matte finishes provide additional surface directions.
These options should be selected in relation to the product shape and artwork. A dimensional design may need a different forming route from a flat, line-led logo. A dark plating choice changes the contrast with enamel or printed graphics. Dual plating requires clear boundaries between its metal tones. Final process selection is confirmed through artwork and specification review.
Plan for Handouts, Campaign Kits and Mailed Packs
Distribution affects how promotional merchandise is sorted, protected and presented. A loose handout at one location has different handling needs from a campaign kit assembled across several sites or an item mailed directly to a customer.
Include the following distribution details in the project brief:
Variant information is especially important. Separate artwork versions, colors or packs need clear quantities and identification so their feasibility and order requirements can be reviewed correctly.
01
The number of campaign locations or distribution points
02
Whether the products will be handed out, placed in kits or mailed
03
Any design, color or packaging variants that must remain separate
04
How items will be counted or grouped for campaign handling
05
The level of surface protection or individual presentation required
Select Protective or Presentation Packaging
Protective packing reduces contact between finished products during handling. Presentation packaging changes how a recipient first sees the merchandise. These are different requirements and should be specified separately.
Gairun offers standard anti-scratch packing, individual OPP bags and bubble bags for protection and separation. Available presentation options include velvet boxes, paper display boxes and plastic display boxes.
Packaging must also fit the product dimensions, attachments and campaign assembly plan. For brand identification and pack-development details, review our private-label and custom packaging service.
Bulk handouts
Standard anti-scratch packing or individual OPP bags can support basic separation and handling.
Mailed campaign packs
Bubble protection may be considered where added contact and impact protection is needed.
Individual customer gifts
Velvet, paper display or plastic display boxes can provide a defined presentation format.
Prepare the Campaign Brief, Proof and Order Schedule
A complete campaign brief allows the product, artwork and packaging to be assessed together. State the campaign purpose and selected product type, then provide the design files, quantity by design, dimensions, finish direction, colors, attachments and packaging requirements. Include the destination and required schedule so timing can be reviewed against the project scope.
The standard minimum order quantity is 100 pieces per design. A 50-piece trial order may be supported for selected products, subject to the product, design and process requirements and factory review. It is not a universal minimum for every campaign item.
Custom sampling normally takes 7–10 working days. Standard bulk production normally takes 15–20 working days. Expedited production can be reviewed for a specific project, but the required date must be assessed before any schedule is confirmed.
01
Define the product role, distribution method and packaging level.
02
Submit the artwork and key product specifications.
03
Review the proposed artwork treatment and proof.
04
Confirm sampling needs, quantities and the required schedule.
