FACTORY-DIRECT OEM / ODM MANUFACTURING
Custom Metal Products for Wholesalers and Distributors
Gairun is an OEM/ODM metal products factory in Shenzhen, China. We supply custom medals, challenge coins, pins, badges, trophies, plaques, keychains and bottle openers for award distributors, promotional gift wholesalers and trade intermediaries.
Our team supports wholesale programs that involve repeat orders, several product categories, multiple designs or private-label packaging. We coordinate artwork review, sampling, bulk production updates, packing and international shipment planning through one project process.
To discuss a program, send your product mix, quantity per design, artwork, packaging requirements and destination through our wholesale quotation form.
Source Multiple Metal Product Categories Through One Factory
A wholesale account may need a medal for one customer, a challenge coin for another and a private-label gift range for regular resale. Gairun manufactures these products within one custom metal product portfolio:
Using a shared supplier can simplify communication across related product lines. It also gives your team one place to coordinate files, design versions, packaging instructions and shipping information. Product construction still needs to be reviewed by category because a pin, coin and assembled trophy do not follow the same engineering route.

Custom medals
sports medals, 3D relief designs, and spinning or combination structures.
Challenge coins
commemorative coins, high-relief designs and dual-plated formats.
Lapel pins and badges
soft enamel, imitation hard enamel, die-struck, die-cast, printed and epoxy-coated options.
Metal trophies and plaques
all-metal awards plus wood-metal and crystal-metal combinations.
Keychains and bottle openers
metal formats, functional openers and leather-metal accessories.
Choose an OEM, ODM or Private-Label Supply Model
Our working model depends on how developed your product concept is. Under an OEM arrangement, we manufacture from the artwork and specifications supplied by your business. Under an ODM arrangement, our engineering team helps develop an early concept into a product design that can be reviewed for production.
Private-label supply connects the product, brand presentation and packaging requirements within the same order. It can include customer-facing packaging or protective packing prepared for stock handling and resale. The label, packaging format and product identification need to be defined as part of the project brief.
| Supply model | Typical starting point | Key buyer approval |
|---|---|---|
| OEM production | Finished artwork and defined product specifications | Production proof and project specifications |
| ODM development | Sketch, PDF, reference design or early concept | Developed 2D or 3D artwork proof |
| Private-label program | Product requirements plus brand and packaging details | Product presentation and packing specification |
These models do not imply product exclusivity, protected sales territories or fixed resale terms. Any commercial requirement outside the manufacturing scope must be discussed for the specific project.
Control Artwork and Specifications Across Multiple SKUs
Multi-SKU orders need a clear link between each design and its production details. A useful SKU record identifies the product category, dimensions, front and back artwork, colors, metal finish, attachments and packaging. Each file name or SKU code should match the related quotation and proof.
Our engineering team accepts vector artwork, PDFs and hand-drawn concepts. We can prepare a free 2D or 3D artwork proof within 24 hours. The proof gives the buyer a defined design to review before tooling or custom sample production.
For a program with several customer logos or product versions, mark which details are shared and which change by SKU. Keep revisions under distinct file names, and identify the final version in writing. If a logo, finish, attachment or reverse-side message changes, that change should appear in the proof before approval. This reduces the risk of an older design entering production.
Compare Stock Samples, Custom Samples and Order Quantities
Stock samples and custom samples answer different sourcing questions. Existing stock samples help a wholesaler inspect general workmanship, plating, enamel, relief and packaging examples. These existing samples are free, while delivery cost is confirmed separately.
A custom sample is made for a specific design and is used to review the product before bulk production. Custom sampling normally takes 7-10 working days. The required process depends on the design, product structure and approval goal.
The standard minimum order quantity is 100 pieces per design. A 50-piece trial order may be supported for selected products, subject to the design and process review. The smaller trial quantity is not a universal MOQ and may not suit every structure, finish or production method.
When requesting samples, state what you need to evaluate. A stock sample may be enough for an initial supplier review, while a custom sample is more suitable when your customer needs to approve a specific design, construction or finish.
Plan Packaging for Resale, Storage and Shipment Protection
Wholesale packaging must support the way products will be stored, presented and shipped. Gairun provides standard anti-scratch packing and can coordinate individual or presentation packaging for private-label programs.
Packaging should be specified by SKU when an order includes products of different sizes or presentation levels. State the pack quantity, product orientation, insert needs and any private-label identification required for review. See our private-label and custom packaging service for the available packing formats.
OPP bags
separate individual products for counting, storage and order picking.
Bubble protection
adds protection against contact and impact during handling.
Velvet boxes
provide a presentation format for awards, coins and gift products.
Paper display boxes
support retail or branded presentation requirements.
Plastic display boxes
keep the product visible while contained.
Follow Production Through Defined Quality Checkpoints
Wholesale buyers often manage customer expectations without being present at the factory. Our one-to-one project process covers requirement confirmation, artwork approval, sample production, bulk production tracking and shipment follow-up. Photo or video progress updates can be provided during production.
Inspection is built into the manufacturing path. Incoming inspection checks metal materials. First-article inspection compares dimensions, thickness and relief details with the drawing after mold development and trial forming. In-process checks cover issues such as burrs after forming, surface condition after polishing, plating color and adhesion, and enamel color fill.
Before shipment, finished products receive a 100% visual inspection for surface scratches and visible defects. Relevant accessories, including medal ribbons, pin clutches and magnetic fittings, are also checked for secure attachment. These controls support order review, but each wholesale program should still define any customer-specific inspection or documentation requirements before production.
Protect Specification Continuity on Repeat Orders
A repeat order should reference the last approved product record, not only a customer name or an old photograph. Retain the approved artwork, dimensions, finish reference, color instructions, attachments, packaging details and SKU identifier for each design.
When placing a reorder, identify any intended change before proof approval. Even a small update to wording, plating, accessory style or packaging can create a new production version. A written change list lets both teams confirm what remains the same and what needs another technical review.
Specification continuity does not mean that color matching, tooling storage, production capacity or pricing stays fixed without review. These points must be confirmed for the new order. The most reliable starting point is the complete prior specification plus a clear summary of requested changes.
Select Trade Terms and Transport for Each Destination
Gairun has more than 10 years of independent export experience. We support EXW, FOB, CIF, DDP and DAP trade terms, with international express, air, sea and rail transport available for review.
The suitable route depends on the destination, shipment size, required schedule and the responsibilities your business wants to manage. EXW places collection from the factory under the buyer’s arrangement. FOB and CIF are port-based terms with different freight responsibilities. DAP and DDP support destination delivery under different duty and import responsibility structures.
No shipping mode or trade term should be selected from the product type alone. Carton details, destination, timing and import requirements must be reviewed for the order. Our team can coordinate shipment tracking, but customs clearance and delivery outcomes remain subject to the selected term, destination rules and carrier handling. Review our international shipping and trade support before requesting a transport option.
Prepare a Wholesale Brief for Factory Review
A complete project brief helps us assess a multi-product or private-label program without repeated clarification. Include:
- Product categories and the number of designs or SKUs
- Quantity required for each design
- Dimensions and available artwork files
- Material or preferred production process, if known
- Metal finish, colors, relief and surface requirements
- Attachments, moving parts or assembled components
- Protective or private-label packaging requirements
- Delivery destination and required schedule
We use these inputs to review design feasibility, artwork work, sampling needs, production planning, packaging and shipping choices. Where a technical decision is still open, provide the target appearance and intended use instead of guessing at a process.
