FACTORY-DIRECT OEM / ODM MANUFACTURING
Private Label Metal Products with Packaging Ready for Your Program
Gairun supplies private label metal products and coordinated packaging for brands, corporate buyers, gift wholesalers and distributors. We prepare custom medals, challenge coins, pins and badges, metal trophies and plaques, keychains and bottle openers with the identification and packing requirements defined in one order.
You can select standard anti-scratch packing, individual OPP bags, bubble protection, velvet boxes, paper display boxes or plastic display boxes. The right choice depends on how the product will be handled, presented and distributed. Include your product, brand identification and packaging needs in your quote request so we can review the complete scope.
Coordinate the Product, Brand and Pack as One Specification
A private-label order brings three connected requirements into one commercial specification: the custom metal item, its brand identification and its final packaging. Planning these elements together helps avoid a product-and-box mismatch or missing identification details at the quotation stage.
Gairun can coordinate packaging for the following custom metal product families:
- Custom medals, including sports, marathon, relief and combination formats
- Challenge coins for corporate, commemorative and institutional programs
- Lapel pins and badges
- Metal trophies and plaques
- Metal keychains and bottle openers
The service is suited to buyers preparing products for event distribution, employee recognition, business gifting, resale or wholesale supply. If you are still deciding how responsibilities should be divided between your team and the factory, review our OEM and ODM manufacturing service. This page focuses on adding identification and packaging to an order that already has a defined product direction.
Define How Your Brand Should Be Identified
Private-label identification tells the recipient, reseller or channel partner which brand or program the product belongs to. The requested identification may relate to the metal item, its package or the way the two are presented together.
Provide the brand name or mark, required wording, intended location and a placement reference. Also identify the product family and explain where the item will be sold, presented or distributed. These details give us the context needed to review the request against the selected product and package.
The exact identification method must be confirmed for each project. It can depend on the product format, package structure, available placement area and supplied design. We do not assume a printing, engraving, label, sticker, sleeve or box-marking method before reviewing the order requirements.
Information to include for identification review
01
Brand, organization or program name
02
Logo or mark that needs to appear
03
Required wording, such as a campaign or award name
04
Preferred location on the product or package
05
Placement reference showing the intended arrangement
06
Product family and planned presentation setting
Choose Between Standard Packing and Individual OPP Bags
Standard anti-scratch packing is the basic protective option available for custom metal products. It is intended to limit direct surface contact during normal packing and handling. The exact packing arrangement is matched to the product and order requirements.
An individual OPP bag keeps each unit separate. This can be useful when products need to be counted, sorted or handed out one by one. Unit separation may also support a buyer’s own packing, kitting or channel distribution process after receipt.
Neither option should be selected by name alone. State whether every item needs a separate pack, how units will be distributed and whether your team will repack them later. We can then review standard anti-scratch packing and individual OPP bags against the product format.
| Packaging option | Main planning need | Details to provide |
|---|---|---|
| Standard anti-scratch packing | Basic protection within the order | Product type, quantity and planned handling |
| Individual OPP bag | Separate packing for each unit | Units per bag and downstream distribution method |
| Bubble protection | Added separation around contact-sensitive shapes or components | Product shape, raised areas and assembled parts |
| Velvet box | Formal award or gift presentation | Item placed inside and presentation setting |
| Paper display box | Organized display for gifting or channel presentation | Product format and presentation requirements |
| Plastic display box | Product display where viewing is part of the presentation | Product format, handling route and viewing need |
Add Bubble Protection for Raised or Assembled Products
Bubble protection can be requested when a product has a shape or assembly that needs added separation during packing and handling. Relevant review factors include raised relief, projecting parts, connected components, mixed assemblies and surfaces that may contact nearby units.
For example, a relief medal, assembled trophy or multi-part promotional item may have different contact points from a flat coin or pin. Describe these features instead of requesting bubble protection without product context. Photos, dimensions or a placement reference can help show which areas concern you.
Bubble protection reduces direct contact and collision within the packing arrangement, but it is not a guarantee against damage. Transport planning and delivery responsibilities are handled separately through our international shipping service.
Select Velvet Boxes for Formal Awards and Gifts
Velvet boxes are available as a presentation option for recognition awards, commemorative products, corporate gifts and other programs where the opening experience matters. They may be considered for medals, coins, pins, plaques or other items after the product and box fit have been reviewed.
Start with the item that will sit inside the box. Provide its product type, dimensions, quantity and presentation setting. A corporate anniversary coin presented to employees may have a different layout need from a medal used during a formal award ceremony.
Also state whether private-label identification is required on or with the box. The method, location and feasibility must be confirmed for the quoted project. Box colors, internal fittings, dimensions and branding methods are not assumed from the velvet box format alone.
Compare Paper and Plastic Display Boxes by Presentation Need
Paper display boxes and plastic display boxes are both selectable presentation formats, but they serve different buyer priorities. A paper display box can support an organized gift or channel presentation. A plastic display box may be considered when viewing the product within its package is part of the intended display.
The final choice depends on the product format, desired viewing arrangement, handling route and buyer-supplied presentation requirements. A display box for a pin or challenge coin may need a different product arrangement from packaging for a plaque, trophy or mixed-component item.
Do not rely on the words ※paper§ or ※plastic§ as a complete specification. State how the packaged item will be presented, whether it must remain visible and how it will move through your sales or distribution process. Structural details, box dimensions, material grades, printing options and performance requirements must be confirmed during quotation.

Match Packaging to the Sales or Distribution Route
Packaging should support the point at which your customer, recipient or channel partner receives the item. The same metal product may need basic separation for direct distribution or a presentation box for a formal handover.
These are selection guides, not fixed rules. Product dimensions, component layout, presentation goals and the buyer’s downstream process determine the final packing specification.
Direct distribution
Standard anti-scratch packing or individual OPP bags may suit products that will be counted, sorted or handed out by the buyer.
Event handout
Individual OPP bags can keep units separate before medals, pins, keychains or other products are distributed.
Formal recognition
Velvet boxes may suit awards or commemorative items presented to a named recipient.
Gift presentation
Velvet, paper display or plastic display boxes can be reviewed against the desired opening and viewing experience.
Wholesale or channel supply
Standard packing, individual bags and display boxes can be assessed according to how the distributor stores, presents or repacks each unit.
Contact-sensitive formats
Bubble protection may be added when shape, relief or assembled parts create extra contact points.
Prepare a Complete Packaging Specification for Quotation
A useful packaging request identifies the item and explains what must happen after it is packed. This allows the product, identification requirement and packaging format to be reviewed together.
Packaging prices, box dimensions, identification methods and related production details require project-specific confirmation. Add these requirements to the RFQ rather than treating packaging as a separate decision after the product order has been defined.
